Artist's Background

Ralph Fontenot came to Junction City, KS because his father was a career military man. Having attended both Kansas University and Kansas State, he credits his study with Oscar Larmer at KSU with teaching him how to paint. One of Ralph's greatest strengths as a painter is his ability to render local subjects from an angle or in a manner that gifts the viewer with a new perspective on a familiar scene.
